Charming and food-centric, Canela buzzes year-round: fondue, chocolate shops, wine, and signature experiences. Local favorites like Magnólia (restaurant–bar–cinema, downtown) and Empório Canela (bistro/bookstore, near the Cathedral) set the tone, while Garfo & Bombacha delivers the classic gaucho dinner show with barbecue and regional traditions.

For park lovers, staying in Canela means being closer to most attractions: Caracol Park (Caracol Waterfall) is about 7 km from downtown; Alpen Park, about 3 km; and Skyglass (Vale da Ferradura), about 14–15 km from Canela (and farther from Gramado, ~17 km).
